theres a phenomenon that happens on here i have been calling "normalize loving parents posting" which is when you spend a lot of time on tumblr and are exposed to a lot of one specific counter-cultural narrative day in and day out until you start to forget what the dominant ideas are for most of the human population and thus feel the need to "defend" things that are widely accepted and popular. it's called this because of the time a bunch of text posts about shitty dads were circulating and then people with good relationships with their dad didn't feel included enough and started making "uhmmm can we normalize loving parents? not everyone has a deadbeat dad, MY dad is great" type posts, seemingly forgetting that good relationship with dad is a cultural norm that is expected and encouraged. i think its good practice, especially when im annoyed, to stop before i hit the post button and ask myself if this is a real issue or if im normalize loving parents posting. because often im about to try to normalize loving parents

I created a google forms for my 3 colour palettes

i will let other decide which colour palettes i should use for my design so i can use the best one

my favorite hc is that penelope was told by the ladies in waiting to go and stay in her room and not to come out for anyone

and she hears screams and whatnot and is like oh fuck now theyve done it, the suitors are gonna destroy the place

only to hear the screams lessen in volume and being like ? are they killing each other?

but then she hears a scream clear as day "THIS WILL BE YOUR FATE" and she's like🧍‍♀️no fuckin shot my husband is down there on a murder spree

and she immediately starts pacing back and forth like "LADIES HELP ME PREPARE I NEED TO LOOK DIVINE" and it's a full makeover sequence

and they're posing her and being like "hold on, tilt your chin up a little bit, turn to the side like 12 degrees- BOOM my lady you are serving such cunt"

and then they hear odysseus' loud ass steps going up the stairs and all the ladies scatter while penelope tries to look nonchalant like "AHEM....😳 is it you? have my prayers been answered?"

Columbo and the Knight (1984)

put me in the universe where Columbo ran through the 1980s and had a crossover episode with Knight Rider. I think they deserved it, and I am not just saying that because they're my two favorite Old Shows. @telebeast wrote a little fanfic blurb about it and I HAD to visualize it into a comic (which is also the longest comic I have finished thus far at five pages...), so writing credit goes to them.

other tenants of the building include: -Picard (the head of the college that Data attends) and Q (no one really knows what he does, he just pops in and out whenever he pleases) -Troi (high school guidance counselor) and Riker (personal trainer) and Worf used to live here too but he moved out -Beverly (still a doctor) and Wesley (burnt out college freshman) -Barclay (works at Blockbusters w/ Data and Geordi) -Guinan (bartender of a secretly gay bar)

Sword research

I would like for the player to wield a melee weapon of some sort.

To get inspiration for this idea i looked at different types of weapons like swords and katanas of pinterest

I like all these designs however i think a sword would be too basic and i would like to create something more interesting

Next i looked at melee weapons in popular video games

I first looked at magik gameplay inside of marvel rivals

I may create this type of design for my sword where the sword is not too detailed and just kind of one solid colour however i would like to add detail to the sword so it looks as if the sword is sharper on an edge.

Next i looked at a melee weapon with a lot more detail on it in Call of duty bo6

I may also create something like this with detail showing that one edge is sharper than the other however i would like the player to have a sword or a katana instead of a knife or bat.

these images and videos helped me to decide that i would like to create a sword / katana that is detailed a bit to show the sharp edges.

I then looked at pickaxes / axes

i used these images to shape my idea, i first wanted to create a pickaxe for the player to attack with however i didnt like how it looked and wanted to used the design of the scythe to create my weapon

However when i created the scythe shape i still wanted it to have a pickaxe aspect to it so i add an axe head to one side of the weapon.

i first created a design for my pickaxe / axe however i didnt like how it looked as normally people use the larger side of the weapon to hit things and in this condition the larger side was on the wrong side

I then flipped the weapon around so that the larger side would be the attacking side

The weapon the looked alot better and like a weapon which would be used.

After flipping the sword i added more detail to the handle.
